Biography

Stefan Eriksson is an associate professor of research ethics, a senior lecturer at The Centre for Research Ethics & Bioethics, and has been appointed an Excellent Teacher by Uppsala University. He serves as editor of the Swedish Research Council’s website, CODEX, and as Director of Doctoral Studies as well as Deputy Institutional Board member at the Department of Public Health & Caring Sciences. For the autumn 2017 he was a Matariki visiting scholar at Durham University. In February 2018, he was appointed Adviser to the Vice-Chancellor for good research practice. Eriksson has written several noteworthy articles on predatory journals and what to do about them, has suggested a novel conceptualization of them as deceitful and low quality respectively, and runs a blacklist of predatory journals in the fields of bioethics and research ethics.
